What was your background before entering the HCC program?
I completed my undergraduate degree studying computer science and immediately joined HCC at UMBC.
What was your favorite class and why?
My favorite class was Fundamentals of HCC because after learning the principles of design and user experience in earlier semesters, this class introduced me to the pioneers of user experience and human centered design, their vision, design innovation and ideas that gave birth to the everyday technologies in our life right now. I was able to truly understand the impact of design on tangible and intangible interactions.
What are you doing now?
I am a User Experience designer at Amazon. I design various experiences that the shoppers as well as sellers on Amazon benefit from.
What did you like best about the HCC program at UMBC?
Diversity in terms of students and faculty, research opportunities, and our beloved FIKA room and committee!
